About Riverfeet Press
Riverfeet Press was established in 2013 by Daniel J. Rice, author of This Side of a Wilderness and The Unpeopled Season. We continue to be independently owned and operated. Our books are written, edited and published by people who have a close connection to the natural world and explore themes of adventure, healing, wildlife and the environment. Our mission is to help readers enhance their outdoor awareness, whether reading beside a campfire, at a national park, in a cabin or from their home. We want to share the knowledge from our experiences and help people grow into their best natural self.
Our publishing goal is to help independent authors create professional quality books and bring their words to print. Our mission is to keep creative control in the hands of the author, while we work closely with them to perform the publishing services needed to make their book the best it can be. Our authors have sold books in sixteen countries, plus national and state parks. They've won awards, been featured on television and radio, and had books implemented as part of University level curriculum, as well as make it on numerous best seller lists.
We specialize in publication of nature-based fiction and non-fiction titles, but also welcome literary fiction and poetry. Being a small press allows us to be very selective of the projects we represent.
